Description

Destiny Rescue Australia is a non-profit Organisation dedicated to rescuing children from human trafficking and exploitation. Our mission is to restore freedom, hope, and a future for vulnerable children through rescue operations, rehabilitation, and reintegration programs.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Volunteer Finance Manual Writer who is a permanent resident of Australia, to develop a comprehensive Finance Manual for Destiny Rescue Australia. This manual will serve as a vital resource for our organisation, ensuring consistent, transparent, and effective financial management practices.

Qualifications:

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assess Existing Documentation:
    • Review and analyse current financial policies, procedures, and documentation.
    • Identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  2. Develop Finance Manual:
    • Create a detailed Finance Manual that includes guidelines on budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Incorporate best practices and industry standards for non-profit financial management.
  3. Collaborate with Stakeholders:
    • Work closely with our finance team, senior management, and other relevant stakeholders to gather insights and ensure the manual meets organisational needs.
    • Facilitate meetings or discussions to clarify requirements and gather feedback.
  4. Ensure Compliance:
    • Ensure that the Finance Manual aligns with relevant laws, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
    • Address any compliance issues and incorporate necessary changes.
  5. Documentation and Review:
    • Draft, revise, and finalize the Finance Manual, ensuring clarity and comprehensiveness.
    • Provide recommendations for implementation and training if needed.
  6. Training and Support:
    • Offer support and guidance to staff during the initial implementation of the Finance Manual.
