Your bequest can make a lasting difference by helping to rescue children from sexual exploitation and human trafficking and help them stay free.
Destiny Rescue operates rescue, reintegration, and prevention programs in multiple countries worldwide, while also raising funds and awareness in Australia and other nations.
There are several ways you can support Destiny Rescue; the following are the most common options
- Including a percentage of the remainder of your estate (known as the residue). After you have provided for your family and friends, even a small percentage of the remainder will make a huge difference. To do this, nominate the percentage of your estate that you would like Destiny Rescue to receive from 1 – 100%. This type of bequest also won’t lose its value over time.
- Leave a specific amount of money to Destiny Rescue (known as a pecuniary bequest). This donation does not change in accordance with any growth or depreciation in your estate or changes in inflation.
Wording For Your Will
It is important that you seek independent legal advice for the most appropriate wording for your circumstances. The following is a template you may consider using in consultation with your solicitor when preparing your will:
“I [INSERT YOUR FULL NAME] give to Destiny Rescue Limited (ABN: 16 394 284 169) free of all duties or taxes: [CHOOSE FROM THE LIST BELOW]:
- The whole of my estate.
- [INSERT NUMBER] % of my estate.
- The residue of my estate.
- The sum of $[INSERT CASH VALUE].
- My [LIST ASSETS].
for its general purposes at the discretion of Destiny Rescue [OR INSERT YOUR SPECIFIC PURPOSE – for example to continue your existing support]. The receipt of the Director, Secretary or other authorised officer will be a complete and sufficient discharge for my Executor/s.”
