13 rescued and on their paths to freedom in Uganda
Eleven girls ages 14 to 18 and two 16-year-old boys have been rescued in Uganda.
The children have all been enrolled in our reintegration programs. Seven will live in one of our residential homes and six have joined our community care program which allows them to live independently while they attend our classes.
Next steps for the survivors include health checks and trauma rehabilitation classes. Caseworkers and counselors will work with each survivor and his or her family on their customized freedom plan.
