33 children rescued by border agents in Nepal
Twenty-six girls and seven boys were rescued at the Nepal border before traffickers could sneak them out of the country.
The children, all between 9 and 17 years old, were rescued over the course of three weeks along with 53 adults.
When border agents reunite survivors with their families, they take time to discuss techniques to recognize traffickers and avoid being deceived in the future.

Most of those rescued had been forced to sell their bodies just to survive. Others were rescued from sex crimes or being sexually exploited by a human trafficker for money. The youngest was only 9 years old, and three of the survivors were boys. All of the survivors have been enrolled in our Community Care Program, where they’ll learn to maneuver through the trauma they endured and be equipped to live free.
