Collaborative effort with police rescues six Nepali boys from international labor trafficking
Six boys, ages 12 to 17, have all returned home and are reunited with their families.
A 32-year-old man had targeted a small village and lured six boys, ages 12 to 17, out of Nepal with false promises of good jobs and by using an uncommon, remote route.
The families immediately filed missing persons cases, which alerted both the police and our teams. Within hours, one of our informants noticed a man traveling with a group of boys matching the missing persons’ descriptions and our rescue agents coordinated a rescue alongside police and anti-trafficking units that same day.
The boys were reunited with their families, the trafficker has been arrested and the families have pressed charges.
